GENERAL INFORMATION

How do I register a new domain name?

• If you sign up with ProHosting and you do not currently have a domain name, we'll handle the domain registration for you. If you do currently have a domain name, please refer to the section below regarding how to modify your domain name.

• If you would like to handle Domain Name Registration yourself, you are welcome to do so. Otherwise, we'll use the information submitted on your order form to register your domain name.

• We only charge $25.00 to register a domain name for one year. That is more than $10 per year less than what Network Solutions charges!

How much does ProHosting charge to handle domain name registration?

• ProHosting.com charges $25.00 for Domain Name Registration. We can also help you modify your domain to point to our DNS servers at no cost.

What are the restrictions on the characters my domain can contain?

• Valid characters for a domain name are the following:

  • The letters A-Z
  • The numbers 0-9
  • The - character (dash)

  !(exclamation points) and _ (underscores) are not allowed.

How long does it take to register a new domain name?

• We can have your domain name registered within 24-48 hours.

• If it has been longer than 48 hours since you signed up with us, and your domain still doesn't work, please contact our support staff at support@prohosting.com.

• If you have a domain name registration that we currently manage for you, please go to our secure website at https://www.prohosting.com/renew.
