Command
The command area is a new feature in FileMan. This area allows you to run Unix
commands on files that you have ownership of. If a command doesn't run when
you type it into the command input box, it is usually due to the fact that paths
are not specified in FileMan for that command. To find a unix command which
you would like to run, type, "which command_name" If it isn't
found, you can't run it.

without notice or explanation.
