Setup an email account in Outlook 2010 website tutorial
Open Microsoft Outlook 2010.
Click
File.
Select
Info
from the drop down menu.
Click
Account Settings
.
Select the
Add and remove accounts
option from the drop down.
Under the
Email
tab, click
New
.
Note:
If you're making changes to an existing account, under the Email tab you will see a list of email accounts that exist within Outlook 2010, double click on the email account you wish to make changes to, then skip to step 9.
Select the
Email Account
option and complete the following information:
Your Name:
The name you want to be displayed when people receive your email
Email Address:
The email address you are sending email from
Password:
The password used for this email account
Re-type Password:
As above
Select
Manually configure server settings or additional server types
then click
[Next]
.
Select the
Internet Email
option and click
[Next]
Complete the Settings information

Your Name:
The name you wish displayed when people receive your emails
Email Address:
The email address you are sending email from.
Account Type:
Select POP3 or IMAP from the drop down.

Incoming mail server:
mailX.prohosting.com
(Do not use mailX.prohosting.com. Please check the Email Setup Info in the Netadmin control panel for the correct server)
Outgoing mail server:
mailX.prohosting.com
(Do not use mailX.prohosting.com. Please check the Email Setup Info in the Netadmin control panel for the correct server)
User Name:
Your full email address. eg. johnsmith@example.com
Password:
The password used for this email account
It is up to the end user to decide if they want to create a new Outlook Data File or not, this choice does not affect the connection to our servers.
Click
[More Settings]
Select the
Outgoing Server
tab
Select
My outgoing mail sever (SMTP) requires authentication
and
Use same settings as incoming mail server
Select the
Advanced
tab
Users can choose whether to use SSL or not, both are supported on our servers
Without SSL Encryption
